Utilize a cyclonic style pre-filter in the air intake system, saving the actual filter from excessive exposure to dust.

termostat
GP motorgrader Hydrolic Fluid Thermostat and heater to maintain the exact temperature for the hydrolic fluid to be always the same than when you calibrated your valves coils.
Example: When I'm fine grading with Trimble UTS 3D control on my 772GP, and the hydrolic temp is at 48 degres Celcius (the same temp than when I calibrated the valves) and in the same day when the sun replace the clouds... the hydrolic fluids just climbs to 54 degres celius and the valves coil are not able anymore to give the same precision than when it was at 48 celcius and… more

Improve EH controls & hydraulic system on 320D.
The response from the EH travel control is wrong. Travel dampening is high and acceleration is low. this makes it hard to stop at the edge of a trench, for example. Steering is very agressive and this makes the machine difficult to control on rough terrain.
Both, machine agression (rate at which machine accelerates) and control dampening needs to be tuned and adjustable by the operator. Also, the controls should be mounted to the seat armrests to minimize inadvertent movement. One other complaint that I have is that you use a gear pump for the hydraulic system. The effect is… more

Great Feedback, Thad! We’re very committed to improving our Electro-hydraulic (EH) Joystick controls in all the areas you described. Today, we do offer an EH Performance Package that has a setting to allow the operator to adjust variable boom and bucket speeds to improve controllability. Also included in this package is a creeper mode setting to adjust wheel speed and travel aggressiveness levels independently of engine RPM.
Thanks to customer input like yours we’re looking at new dampened joystick technology to help eliminate the situation you described, where the machine may feel a bit too aggressive or difficult to control at high RPM. We’re also working on other specific features to give you even more control over response times and certain operations. Stay tuned!

Mike – We’re glad you’re a Deere CTL fan and thanks for your suggestion! We are indeed going to be giving the CT315 an update, along with the other Radial Lift machines (313 and 315 skid steers). You’ll see not only more horsepower but also optional joysticks — so customers like you will get the power and precision they’ve asked for.

Heated Seats standard option in all EROPS machines
My 60k Chevy pickup has heated seats in it so why doesn't my 150-250k dozers or excavators have one in it? Lets go one step further in the dozer and make the seat swivel so you can swing sideways to see behind you and have less stress on your body twisting to look back.

More behind the seat storage and a couple more 12 volt outlets.
Make the cab a little longer for more behind the seat storage. My lunchbox doesn't fit on the ledge of the new G series. I would also like to see a couple more 12 volt outlets.

The option of heated hand controls, winter is cold and its nice to not wear gloves when feathering controls!
I think all equipment should come with the option of heated hand controls, if you ever have had to operate in the winter with gloves it doesn't make sence. You should seriously consider!!

Add additional auxillary hydraulic ports
Provide an auxillary hydraulic connection on the machine that would allow remote connection of hydraulic tools (jacks, shears, saws, etc) with the valving and lines required to use the skid steer as a 'power point' with live flow available to those tools...allowing them to be operated independently at some distance from the skid steer.

The 317 skidloaders had nice big holes under the foot paddles, the 318Ds do not have this anny more. it is about impossible to clean. I real
How about taking a look back at the 317 skid loader vs. the newer 318Ds: The holes under the foot paddles are gone! Now it takes about a half hour to clean and the whole cab gets dirty. And why did they change the engine oil filter from vertical to horizontal, with no room to put anything under it to catch oil coming out of the filter. A jelly jar will not even fit under it! The side panels on the engine compartment have made me very mad on several occasions on the 318D, the ones on the 317 are… more

backhoe toolbox
You need to seal the hinge on it so it doesn't get wet inside when it rains. I used silicone to hold a piece of vinyl over the hinge. Now my grease tubes do not get anymore.

Create a fast change oil change system. Instead of having a drain hose to plug have a fitting and some sort of vacuum to suck it out.

I want to be able to order parts at ANY John Deere dealer Green or Yellow
I would like the ability to order parts for my machine at any dealer in the US, Green or Yellow dealer. Right now I have to go several hundred miles just to get parts when I have a green Deere dealer 12 miles from my address! This is a real pain when on downtime!
