Make batteries easier to access on backhoes.
Appreciate the feedback on batteries! They are an easy item to overlook, but very important. First, batteries have to be placed next to the starter to provide maximum current. Also, customers have told us over the years that the batteries typically only need to be be accessed at periodic maintenance intervals and we think they’re in the right spot to address that need. However, we’re always looking for ways to improve our single-side ground-level serviceability while also recognizing the potential for theft — so we’ll continue to monitor the situation and customer input.

Yes the batteries are difficult to get to but on the other hand, I have never had one stolen. I say, "leave the batteries where they are". You shouldn't have to mess with them very often if you keep them properly serviced.

Maybe the batteries could be placed above the tool box.

I agree ours went dead this winter during a 12" blizzard and it took me for ever to figure out where they were and how to unbolt the toolbox. How bout putting quick release pins and clips instead of bolts so you can quickly pull it out access and clip back/secure on the go. Ease of maintenance and accessibility is key to owners, operators and mechanics!
