Appreciate the feedback on batteries! They are an easy item to overlook, but very important. First, batteries have to be placed next to the starter to provide maximum current. Also, customers have told us over the years that the batteries typically only need to be be accessed at periodic maintenance intervals and we think they’re in the right spot to address that need. However, we’re always looking for ways to improve our single-side ground-level serviceability while also recognizing the potential for theft — so we’ll continue to monitor the situation and customer input.

bigger backhoe then the 110.
bigger backhoe then the 110 something like the kubota m59 8,344LBS 12ft digging depth 59hp hst transsmission. Front loader high height for six and tamdem dump trucks. A backhoe with more digging forces and loader forces but something a 1 ton pickup can handle.

Dustin – Thanks for your feedback. We’re always looking for ways to make our equipment more comfortable for customers. Comfortable operators are productive operators, and we know that higher productivity means higher profits for our customers. We’re taking your feedback to our teams that are working on the next generation of backhoes. Stay tuned for what they come up with, and please keep the feedback coming.

Charlie – Thanks for taking part in Sound Off. In this industry, it never hurts to ask “what if?” Can you tell us a little bit more about the work you’re doing on your job site? How would a backhoe on rubber tracks improve productivity for your firm?

Self Levling Bucket on Backhoe Loaders
I have a possible solution for keeping the bucket level when raising or lowering the boom on John Deere Backhoe Loaders. The problem has already been addressed on some telescopic forklifts. They use a dummy cylinder that tracks the boom position and is plumbed into the bucket cylinder hydraulic circuit in such a way that it adjusts the oil in both ends of the cylinder so as to keep the bucket attitude the same regardless of where the boom is positioned. I have a 410D and have already picked out a possible location for this dummy cylinder. This would solve… more

Light Assemblies on JD 310 SG rot out in under 2 yrs, just spent 350 under 2 yrs and the inner lenses are already rotting out
I have 2000 310 SG backhoe...about 1 1/2 yrs ago i replaced my lights entirely outter lens (glass faded, not unusual) the inner lens/reflector was completely rotted out in every light.....UNUSUAL, and all the bulbs. I went to change out a bulb the other day to find that the inner lens/reflector was already rotting out.....the $350 bill is still fresh in my mind....if you want to charge a premium price I expect a premium product.....not tin foil for an inner lens/reflector. Any machine is going to work in the dark sooner or later......the lights must be good to avoid liabilities… more
